In this article, we introduce Denmark’s personal income tax system, a key component of the Nordic country’s taxation framework.

Similar to most countries worldwide, Denmark taxes its residents on their global income, and most forms of income are subject to taxation, with relatively few exemptions. Conversely, Denmark taxes non-residents only on 29 specific types of income sourced from Denmark, while foreign-sourced income is exempt.
