In April 2021, the Indian Ocean nation of Seychelles launched its digital nomad visa program, officially called the Workcation Retreat Program. This visa is valid for one year, can be applied for entirely online, and allows applicants to bring their spouse and children along. While the visa cannot be renewed, it comes with a major advantage: the application requirements are incredibly easy to meet, making it perfect for a spontaneous getaway.

Application Requirements for the Workcation Retreat Program

  1. Hold a valid passport.
  2. Provide proof of employment (for employees) or proof of business ownership (for self-employed individuals or entrepreneurs).
  3. Submit evidence of income or wealth (note: there is no specific minimum income requirement!).
  4. Hold valid medical and travel insurance.
  5. Comply with Seychelles’ Public Health Authority guidelines, such as those related to COVID-19 or other health regulations.
  6. Provide proof of accommodation bookings and a return flight ticket.
